Cinema and Primary School
The Cinema and the Primary School were located in two separate but adjacent buildings which were inaugurated by Benito Mussolini in 1937. The left-hand side building hosted the primary school and, since 1963, also the secondary school. It was endowed with six rooms and modern teaching equipments. In summer time the same building was also used as a mountain camp for the miners’ children. The right-hand side building hosted a recreational club for the miners and included a bar, a library, a reading room, a ballroom and a games room. Next to the recreational club there was a cinema wich had seating for 500 people. It was opened six days per week and screened 3 different films.
Currently the building houses an Association (private club) and, since 1997, the headquarters of the Centre for Education on Environment and Sustainability.
